WWII Steel 1943 Penny Bracelet, size m

WWII Steel 1943 Penny Bracelet, size m

$62.00

This bracelet is constructed from authentic WWII era coins. The 1943 steel penny was minted due to copper shortages during the war, but was unpopular with the public due to its magnetic qualities causing jamming in many vending machines. To solve that problem, in 1944 and 1945 the US mint recycled large brass shell casings, often brought back from naval gun ships, into the pennies on this bracelet.

This particular bracelet is made to fit a small to medium-sized 6.5-7 inch wrist.

All chain links are salvaged brass and the bracelet clasps are made of salvaged wire and wheat pennies.

Each bracelet is hand-made in the USA and will vary slightly from piece to piece in patina and minted years featured on each coin and may not be specifically represented in the picture.
