The Washington Quarter remained an unchanging staple in American currency for decades until the eve of the 1976 Bicentennial. For two years (1975-1976) the Quarter was graced with a commemorative mark of America’s founding. This Quarter is hand-riveted onto a strip of what used to be a silver-plated tray.
